How to change primary hard drive on vista?internet
What you are likely seeing is the first drive (c:\) is a partition for the restore to factory defaults software. (D:\) is likely the main partition. You will not be able to just change drive letters without wiping the whole drive out (erasing). You may be able to use something like partition magic to do something to effect to what you are doing. You probably only have one hard drive in your system.
