What is this problem with vista or my computer?

Whin I try to add quick time file it say

The file H:\DCIM\100KZ710\100_2434.MOV cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

Plz Fix and Help

you're trying to open a .mov file in windows movie maker. You can't edit .mov files in Windows Movie Maker. You can convert the video to .mpg with this video converter:

http://www.any-video-converter.com/any-v...

After you convert it to .mpg, you can add it in windows movie maker.

But no, this problem has nothing to do with Vista, just microsoft not supporting an apple format in their video editor

You need to download Quicktime. You are trying to open a .mov file.

Go here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

This is the problem.
If you know which codec is missing go here.
Andres N is spot on, you need Quicktime.
I see you are trying to use it on movie maker. movie maker does not recognize *.mov files, you may try to convert it to .mpeg or .wmv file first before importing it to movie maker

.MOV is a Quick Time movie file. You can download the quick time player for free from Apple, not sure if Windows has a codec to play that file type. Good Luck
