Whets the difference between Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit and the 64 bit versions?

For the average user almost nothing.

There are almost no applications out yet that actually make use of a 64 bit O/S or processor.

The 32 bit version of vista running on a 64 bit processor requires vista to set up a 32 bit shell, which can affect performance adversely - but it depends on exactly how your hardware is configured.

The 64 bit O/S is also going to cause problems with some hardware -because drivers aren't available yet.

32 bit vista lets you use most XP drivers.

One is designed for a 32 bit processor and the other for a 64 bit processor.

It's pretty much as simple as that.

I can't get into 32 bit vs 64 bit architecture because it would read like a book.
