Can Anyone Tell Me the Benefits on Upgrading from Windows XP to Vista?

NONE! Stick with Xp for a while longer till they straighten out the glitches on Vista. I have heard nothing but problems big to small on vista from anyone I know who has it...google it I am sure you will find a plethora of people hating it.

I regularly use two PC's. One has XP an the other has Vista.

Honestly, I've had no problems at all with Vista running the identical software as on the XP. In fact, I've found that Vista (at least in my case) seems to be more stable and has actually never given me the blue death screen.

That said, would I pay to upgrade from XP?

No. I can't find any real benefit to Vista - at least not enough to make sense to upgrade my other machine.

Hope that helps!

Vista has some nice security conveniences, but it is a memory hog.

I advise against Vista mainly for the onerous DRM design. It is designed to degrade or disable many device features if you are playing any protected content (for example TV out on your laptop would be disabled if you are playing a copyrighted HD movie).
