I want to buy a new computer for WINDOWS VISTA. I wanna know the system configuration that i should

I currently have a P4 2.8 Ghz,768 MB DDR RAM,256 MB Nvidia Graphics CARD,160 GB HDD.It runs gr8 on windows XP.Now i wanna buy a new computer for my sister which should run equally good or even better with WINDOWS VISTA.I can sacrifice the cost for performance and quality.Please recommend the config and VISTA version that i shud opt for.It would help if u can even gimme an approx estimate of the components along wid d name of the manufacturers.I live in India.

OK , anything with 2 cores will do as long as you have more than 1 GB of RAM

I suggest you:

Core2Duo at any speed

2 GB of DDR2

over 100GB of HDD

and any GeForce 7000 or 8000 will do , if you can get em SLI Ready or with 2 SLI Cards the graphic performance will be awesome

But if you are considering getting a new comp, consider getting a Mac , they are way better ;) and way more beautiful for girl, and they do run Vista relly really smoothly and fast (Im the prove of that)

For vista, Get atleast a 1.5 GHZ Dual Core Processer, 1GB or Ram, and ATLEAST a 200 GB Harddrive, Concidering Vista takes like 80 Gigs to run. I have vista on my new laptop, Specs for it are below, And have No Problems at all for even the most intense gameing. Also you can get a computer like min at Circuit City for like 1K
