umm, why would u want it? majority of people hate the damn thing and went back to XP. not entirely sure of the price, its like $200 for the basic version, like $600 for the ultimate, and a few inbetween.

as for a new computer, make sure u have suffient specs before making the purchase, vista basic needs atlest 512MB ram to run alone (i suggest much more to run smoothly) and the other options need 1GB (again, more is better)

don't do it....i got a new lap top and vista was the only option....i would pay a lot to have vista taken out and xl put in....i don't like the way it works....i don't like anything about it....be lucky you haven't been forced into it...
Windows Vista is an Operating system.

Since Vista is a new OS , very less softwares are available for this OS . And existing softwares won't work properly with Vista OS.

The cost varies between countries.
