computer? I am thinking about getting another computer. i already have the vista software but i havent installed it yet. also when buying software most do not have vista listed as a compatible program so how do you address that issue?
Once you install Windows Vista onto your computer, is there a way to take it off and install it onto another?liveupdate
You should be able to but you will need to contact Microsoft to give you a new key it was fairly easy with xp and earlier version but I don't have vista I would give them a call they can work it out.

if u have vista dvd or cd then u can install it more than one computer.
If u have licence of it then u have all rights to install it for ur personal use of installation in more than a pC.
But do not make piracy of these.
This applies to any other operating system, according to the licence conditions, the Vista is only installed to one computer and you need to buy another copy for the new computer. In most cases the new computer will come with its own copy of Vista.
If you go to MS website there should be a list of requirements for vista installation. I know Microsoft's policy is 1 copy for 1 computer, so technical you would need to purchase another copy if you bought another computer. There might be other ways you could get the job done without but that would be consider piracy.
