What can I do to temporarily use my Lexmark X6170 now that I have Vista installed?

Hi,

Lexmark has not yet released Vista drivers for my particular mdel of printer. Would anyone know an alternative way to fix this until one is released (printer that is similar with a vista driver, generic(plug and play driver).

Hi. Most Lexmarks use the same core driver. Try uninstalling the printer and reboot. If you have the installation CD then run uninstall from the Lexmark folder under Programs, which should remove the driver. This will force Vista to use a generic driver. What a pain!
