I've been told that Windows Vista requires authorization every time you goto a new webpage. I've also been advised that we'd be better off with a Mac (I despise Macs as a whole) because Vista is a bad buy. Anyone have a comp/notebook with Vista. What is it like in terms of being user-friendly?
Does Windows Vista really make you approve every website you go to like the commercial says?bmw
I absolutely love it. No it isn't true that every time you go in a website the message comes up. But if you download something or go into security features on the computer it does. This is a safety feature and it doesn't happen that often except when you first get Vista and are loading software, customizing settings, etc. You can easily turn this feature off and back on again if you are setting up stuff.
The features are amazing, graphics are awesome and I've had no problems handling lots of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MediaCenter, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Winamp) running at the same time.
I've had one freeze up and its when I had all the above running plus Word, a game and Outlook running on another account (that I forgot about). Poor laptop. But even when that happened, it let me close all my programs except one where I had to go into the task manager and end the session.
Vista's getting lots of negative press lately and mostly because of peripherals, add-ons, etc. not being compatible. Manufacturer's haven't had the time to get all the drivers up and running yet.
