I use Shareaza and I really like it, you have to pick the power option though because you'll get more hits. It's easy to use and it's totally free. Only download it from Sourceforge though, there is another one called Shareaza but it isn't the right one, that one is a pay site. I included the link for you.

AVG 7

AVG Anti-Spyware

Spybot Search and Destroy

Install, update and run.
If your computer is that messed up, I would reformat the drive, reinstall Windows and get an ANTIVIRUS and FIREWALL.
Get avast! anti-virus, and keep it runnng at all times. Don't open anything with the file extension .exe or .msi without first scanning it
try kaspersky it beats norton , mc affee , avg, it has auto update every 3 hour or depend on your suites,

Go to www.download.com and search AVG or AVG free. It is a full version (the pay versions have more to them, but the only thing you really need is just the anti virus part which is free).

I have had this program for years on multiple computers and have had 0% issues or troubles with it. Its very easy. There is a scan computer button, you click it, it scans, and then if there are viruses, it puts them in a ''Virus Vault'' which you can clear out.
